Customer relationship management
The processes and technologies used to administer and collect data about customer interactions. Because customer relationships are so integral to the operations of a business, popular CRM providers have stretched their offerings to things that aren’t strictly CRM. That means “CRM” has become sort of a “catch-all” term for many operational capacities of business technology. You might see this in your own organization if your CRM also serves as a help desk ticketing system or does some form of project management.
