Don’t repeat yourself

Programmer’s shorthand for any act which prevents duplication of effort or duplication of code. The old line is that developers are lazy and that’s a good thing. 

The reality is no matter the motivation, a DRY strategy can lead to less technical debt on the software side of things, and when applied to business operations processes, a better playbook for success.
